HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is a great way to improve both aerobic and anaerobic fitness whilst building a lean athletic physique. It is important when you are doing HIIT that you follow a HIIT workout that is at an appropriate level for yourself. If you are new to exercising, struggle with joint pain or are overweight then doing lots of advanced exercises at a fast pace can lead to injury. Here is a beginner HIIT workout that you can use to begin building your fitness and mastering the basic movements.

Here are the exercises:

  1. Reverse lunge left leg

  2. Modified Burpee

  3. Reverse lunge right leg

  4. Crunches

Start with 4-6 rounds and progress as you find it easier.

Beginner

15s on/15s rest

Progression
